The fall brings with it not just a chill in the air, or the anticipation of looming holidays, but also the announcement by the various paint companies of their predictions for 2021 color of the year. It seems that Sherwin Williams is the first one to step up and what an interesting choice. Urbane Bronze is their choice,a deep, brooding color that is a very deep neutral with slight tones of green.

How would you use it?

Well, yes, a whole room as it is shown on the site would be very dramatic, but especially after the year we have had I am not sure deep and moody for a room like that is the way to go. I would tend to use this as an accent, it would make a great painted floor color, or even on cabinets in the Kitchen, especially as an island color it would be super cool, and a great alternative to black.

What Colors to mix it with?

Sherwin Williams is suggesting that you use light taupe or even a soft yellow with this color, both of which are fine choices, but what about going a little bolder. I could see a deep burnt orange, or even a turquoise to really turn up the volume. A crisp, bright white as well would be an excellent choice and create that tuxedo sort of tailoring that is always chic.
